My last post about Warhammer Tome Tactic unlocks may have been a little confusing for some people. So I have decided to put together a sorted list of all 27 unlockable Tome Tactics in one post so that people don’t have to go searching around for what they need. I hope this guide helps all you Warhammer Online players out there.

What are Tome Tactics?

Tome tactics are the blue tactics that players can put into their slots in addition to their Career, and Reknown tactics. These Tome Tactics are for PVE only, and does not have any benefit for PVP (RvR). However the Manly and Greenskin Tactics may benefit players who want additional help killing the NPCS around RvR Objectives. (unconfirmed) These Tome Tactics gives bonuses such as added damage, decreased aggro range, or reduce damage taken from those type of monsters.

Where can I get Tome Tactics?

Tome Tactics are available for purchase from the librarians in the capital cities. Altdorf for Order, and The Inevitable City for Destruction.

How do I unlock Tome Tactics?

To unlock a tome tactic you will have to have multiple tome of knowledge unlocks of a particular type. For example: Greenskin Tome Tactics will require you to get multiple Greenskin tactic unlocks. Also there are three levels of each type of Tome Tactics. There is no order in which you need to unlock these, as long as you unlock a certain amount in your tome of knowledge. (For example Manly Scheme is unlocked after performing any two items in the list, to unlock Manly Strategy you will need to unlock four items in the list)

Note: Some of these will be for either Order (O) or Destruction (D) only, and will be noted with (O) or (D)
Bestial Tome Tactics

* Bestial Scent - You can approach 50% closer to an enemy Animal monster before it will attack you.
* Bestial Stamina - You can approach 50% closer to an enemy Animal monster before it will attack you, and you take 5% less damage from them.
* Bestial Hunt - You can approach 50% closer to an enemy Animal monster before it will attack you, and you take 5% less damage from them. You will gain 50% more experience from these enemies.

Unlocking Bestial Tome Tactics

1. Kill Rauklus - Level 24 - Located in NW Badlands right below the PQ Fireforge’s Camp. (For some reason when I did this quest it unlocked as a bestial tome, but the tome is listed under human - ghoul. Possibly a bug)
2. Kill Jowler - Level 16 - Located in Barrak Varr 83k, 29k under a bridge
3. Kill Famished Squig - Lvl 25 Champion - Located in Black Fire Pass 38k,60k
4. Kill Stinky - Basilisk located in Black Crag - NW corner
5. Kill Pit Bat - Level 30 - Located in Black Crag
6. (O) Kill 60 Warpwood Spiders - Level 10 - Afterwards talk to Elthossar Youngstar located in Chrace Chap 4
7. Kill Heartraker - Level 17 Champion - Located in Ostland 39k, 40k paths to 29k, 30k
8. (O) Kill 50 Blueridge Salamanders or Bluespine Salamanders - Level 11-15 - Afterwards talk to Dietr Stroh in Troll Country
9. (O) Travel to the beach near 5k, 23k in Barrack Varr
10. (O) Kill 50-60 Blighted Scorpions - Level 4 - Afterwards talk to Caethsetir Silverstrand in the Blighted isle.
11. (O) KIll 50-60 Bloodtusk Warsnouts - Level 14 - Afterwards talk to Elagroth Karginson in Barrak Varr
12. Kill Shadowscream - Level 19 Champion - Located in Ellyrion 40k,50k - 61k, 57k
13. Kill Ursun Bears - Level 37 - until you get a Deadmaul’s Paw - Sell this item to a merchant
14. (D) Talk to a guard in Praag near Chapter 19 to receive a bag - Kill Ungol Stallions - Level 37 - for Fresh Meat, then return to the guard.
15. Kill Grinya - Level 38 - Located in Reikland 2k, 18k
16. Kill Plaguefeather - Level 29 Champion - Located in Talabecland 5k, 43k
17. Kill Graelba - Level 35 - Located in Thunder Mountain - Multiple spawn or paths 22k,49k - 62k,21k
18. Kill Lishka - Level 26 - Located in Highpass 46k, 51k
19. Kill Thag Bolgar - Level 32 - Located in Kadrin Valley 6k, 15k
20. (D) Kill 60 Grey Wolf Spiders - Level 9 - Afterwards talk to Golen in Nordland Chap 4 Proving Ground

Chaotic Tome Tactics

* Chaotic Form - Increases your chances to defend against attacks made by enemy Beastmen monsters by 5%.
* Chaotic Corruption - Increases your chances to defend against attacks made by enemy Beastmen monsters by 5%, and you take 5% less damage from them.
* Chaotic Order - Increases your chances to defend against attacks made by enemy Beastmen monsters by 5%, and you take 5% less damage from them. As long as you are attacking a monster of this type, your abilities will cool down 2 seconds faster.

Unlocking Chaotic Tome Tactics

1. Right Click on Grisly Necklace once it is in your inventory.
* (O) Kill Blackhorn Bestigors until you receive the item - Located in Talabecland 48k, 39k
* (D) Talk to the Blackhorn Beasticor at 48k, 39k to receive the item - Located in Talabecland 48k, 39k
2. Kill Blackhorn Ungors - Level 27 - Until you get an Ungor Talisman. Sell the Talisman to a merchant.
3. Kill Riptusk - Level 33 Champion - Located in Eataine 14k, 10k
4. Talk to either Sister Raffaela (O) or Mathis Rittenhouse (D) - Located in Norsca
5. Kill a Bloodtalon Harpy - Level 7 - Located in Chrace
6. (O) Kill 50-60 Gashthorn Gor or Blackhorn Gor in Ostland - Level 17 - Afterwards talk to Droki Greybeard
7. (D) Kill 50-60 Darkthorn Gor in Ostland 17k, 11k - Level 13 - Afterwards talk to Gottfried Holz in Troll Country
8. Kill Yarrgan The Fiendish - Level 32 - Located in Kadrin Valley 27k, 20k
9. Right Click on a book on the ground in High Pass
* (O) Blue Book @ 14k, 42k on the mountain, has a long respawn time.
* (D) Red Book @ 28k, 30k in the middle of a pack of 3 trees by some Yhettis

Daemonic Tome Tactics

* Daemonic Wrath - You deal 5% more damage to all enemy Daemon monsters.
* Daemonic Fortitude - You deal 5% more damage to all enemy Daemon monsters, and take 5% less damage from them.
* Daemonic Spirit - You deal 5% more damage to all enemy Daemon monsters, and take 5% less damage from them. As long as you are attacking an enemy of this type, you gain Morale 25% faster.

Unlocking Daemonic Tome Tactics

1. Kill Golmir - Level 23 Champion - Located in a cave in Avelorn 62k, 14k
2. Kill Blight Spew - Level 29 Champion - Located in Talabecland 36k, 51k
3. Kill Corpulent Nurglings for 20x Nurgling Ooze Samples - Lvl 30+ - Located in Chaos Waste SW
4. Kill Mysterious Horrors - Level 35 - until you get An Odd Doll - Right click on the doll - Located in Thunder Mountain 16k,16k

Giant Tome Tactics

* Giant Girth - Increases your chances to defend against attacks made by enemy Ogre, Troll, and Giant monsters by 5%.
* Giant Strength - Increases your chances to defend against attacks made by enemy Ogre, Troll, and Giant monsters by 5%, and increases your chance to critically hit them by 0%.
* Giant Rage - Increases your chances to defend against attacks made by enemy Ogre, Troll, and Giant monsters by 5%, and increases your chance to critically hit them by 0%. As long as you are attacking an enemy of this type, you gain Morale 25% faster.

Unlocking Giant Tome Tactics - Every 5 unlocks 1 tactic

1. Kill Cold Snap - Level 20+ Champion - Get the killing blow - Located in Troll Country 9k, 5k
2. Kill Marl the Maneater - Level 23 Champion - Located in west High Pass 8k, 42k
3. Kill Brackmaw - Located in Troll Country near 56k. 48k (May have to get barrel of perfume first before killing him, unconfirmed)
4. Kill Stonegullet Trolls for Troll Flesh- Lvl 30+ - Located in Black Crag - West side
5. Find Drul’s Lunch in the Despair Pits (Black Crag West side) in the Stonegullet Troll area - Then kill Skittering Spiders for Poison Glands. Afterwards return to Drul’s Lunch to finish the quest for the unlock.
6. Run near the Brokenmaw Tracker/Impaler camp - Located in Highpass 4.5k, 35k
7. Kill Rockmaw - Level 31 Champion - Black Crag North area by Despair Pit
8. Loot River Troll Dropping from Troll Droppings on the ground in Troll Country 50k, 50k
* (O) Afterwards talk to Brenard the Alchemist
* (D) Afterwards talk to Voxanna the Transmuter

Fungal Tome Tactics

* Fungal Fetish - You can approach 50% closer to an enemy Greenskin monster before it will attack you.
* Fungal Feast - You can approach 50% closer to an enemy Greenskin monster before it will attack you, and any abilities used against them will cost 10% less action points.
* Fungal Fervor - You can approach 50% closer to an enemy Greenskin monster before it will attack you, and any abilities used against them will cost 10% less action points. As long as you are attacking an enemy of this type, you gain Morale 25% faster.

Unlocking Fungal Tome Tactics - Every 2 unlocks 1 tactic

1. Kill Honcho Boglash - Lvl 20 - Located in the SW part of Marsh of Madness
2. Kill Boglars until you get 5 Boglar Ears - Level 16 - Located in Marsh of Madness NE of the Order PQ Dam Boglars
3. Kill Kezzen in Mt Gunbad - Level 20 - Badlands located inside the isntance, roams in a wide page across the left hand bridge.

Manly Tome Tactics

* Manly Scheme - You can approach 50% closer to an enemy Dwarf, Elf, or Human monster before it will attack you.
* Manly Strategy - You can approach 50% closer to an enemy Dwarf, Elf, or Human monster before it will attack you, and any abilities used against them will cost 10% less action points.
* Manly Meddling - You can approach 50% closer to an enemy Dwarf, Elf, or Human monster before it will attack you, and any abilities used against them will cost 10% less action points. You will gain 50% more experience from these enemies.

Unlocking Manly Tome Tactics - Every 2 unlocks 1 tactic

1. Kill Lodwig Falkenheim - Level 17 - In Ostland 56, 24k
2. (O) Talk to captains Flintbeard and Erginsson on the Ironclan in Barak Varr. May have to also interact with the first mate on the ship as well.
3. (D) Kill Sea Anvil Slayers - Level 12 - in Barrack Varr 11k, 49k until you have 20x Slayer Scalps - Afterwards turn the scalps in to Reezel in Barrack Varr 33k, 60k
4. Interact with Stonesmith Supplies on the broken bridge in Kadrin Valley 29,40k. Surrounded by Level 40 Order Dwarfs.
5. Kill Drakk Cultist - Level 35 - Located in Thunder Mountain 17k, 5k

Mythical Tome Tactics

* Mythical Marking - You deal 5% more damage to all enemy Magical Beast, Dragonoid, and Forest Spirit monsters.
* Mythical Dance - You deal 5% more damage to all enemy Magical Beast, Dragonoid, and Forest Spirit monsters, and any abilities used against them will cost 10% less action points.
* Mythical Idol - You deal 5% more damage to all enemy Magical Beast, Dragonoid, and Forest Spirit monsters, and any abilities used against them will cost 10% less action points. As long as you are attacking a monster of this type, your abilities will cool down 2 seconds faster.

Unlocking Mythical Tome Tactics - Every 3 unlocks 1 tactic

1. Kill Elorian - Level 16 - Located in Troll Country, 9k.46k
2. Kill Oldbark - Level 24 - Located in Avelorn 31k, 40k
3. Kill 1000 Imps
4. Kill Tainted Grove Spite - Level 7 Hero - until you loot Tained Spite Essence
* (O) Take essence to Hammerstriker Hasher in Mount Bloodhorn 7k, 25k
* (D) Take essence to Bloody Sun Burner in Mount Bloodhorn 3k, 26k

Queek Tome Tactics

* Queek Reek - Increases your chances to defend against attacks made by enemy Skaven monsters by 5%.
* Queek Strike - Increases your chances to defend against attacks made by enemy Skaven monsters by 5%, and increases your chance to critically hit them by 0%.
* Queek Know How - Increases your chances to defend against attacks made by enemy Skaven monsters by 5%, and increases your chance to critically hit them by 0%. You will gain 0% more experience from these enemies.

Unlocking Queek Tome Tactics

1. Climb to the top of the Horned Tower in Talabecland 30k,60k, and touch the banner.
2. Kill Master Moulder Vitchek - Level 19 Hero - Located in Altdorf, 24k, 25k. Kill the regular level 15 Skavens first then he will spawn.

Undead Tome Tactics

* Undead Chill - You deal 5% more damage to all enemy Undead monsters.
* Undead Will - You deal 5% more damage to all enemy Undead monsters, and take 5% less damage from them.
* Undead Longevity - You deal 5% more damage to all enemy Undead monsters, and take 5% less damage from them. As long as you are attacking a monster of this type, your abilities will cool down 2 seconds faster.

Unlocking Undead Tome Tactics - Every 4 unlocks 1 tactic

1. Kill Halman Meusmann - Located in Ostland 50k. 118k
2. Right click on a Faded Scroll - Dropped from skeleton mobs in Ostland either Boneshard Minion or Skeletal Gebauer
3. Kill the Spolfinkr Family - Annabelle, Croetch, Papa, and Tomas - Level 33 - Located in Chaos Wastes East of PQ Tower of Awakening
4. Kill Vilesoul - Level 38 Champion - Located in Chaos Wastes 40k, 57k
5. Kill Wulgrig - Level 36 - Located in Cinderfall 43k, 3k. - Part of Order Quest line and have to interact with a pile of rocks
