a propos lagów, z dziś:

We're aware of the issues. In Fact we should have it resolved tomorrow with a small update. We're also taking the opportunity to address some of the Warden issues, and issues in the Isengard raid.

Update 6.0.1 Release Notes
User Interface

You will no longer get landmark names repeatedly popping up on your screen when other players enter the area.
Addressed an issue that was causing Virtue ranks to not display properly when they advanced past rank 12.

Classes
Rune-keeper

Essence of Storm no longer increments Winter-storm on a critical hit. Winter-storm is no longer expended by an attack that is resisted or misses.
The Glorious/Wonderous Foreshadowing legacy was working incredibly well. Perhaps too incredibly well. It's been brought back in line with the original intent.

Warden

War-cry now has an AOE Threat effect when in determination stance.
Battle-preparation will now be dispelled upon using any gambit.
Boar's rush no longer attempts to apply the daze effect in all stances when critical strikes apply.
Adroit Manoeuvre and Reversal's ranged version will now load into Battle Memory when the warden is potent.
The Skill "Battle Preparation" was allowing Wardens to be extremely well prepared. This has been addressed.
Warden – Armour of the Thamen and Armour of the Porbad set bonus function properly again.

Raids
Tower of Orthanc

Players should be able to access the entire raid once again.

[edit] Quests

Addressed an issue with Tracking an Old Goat and the related Deed. Players should now be able to properly complete both the quest line and the deed.

Misc

Addressed an issue that could cause players to become trapped Adalbert's House in Stangard. We've explained that not letting your house guests leave was not a good way to make friends.
Addressed an issue that would cause players retreating after being defeated in some areas of The Great River to respawn in Moria instead of the appropriate rally circle.

Odnośnie lagów w grze. Podobno jest wszystko OK  :P
Sapience podsumował to tak:It's true, lag is a very tricky thing to pin down. The potential sources of lag are complex and not always where you think they are. We had an issue that was addressed that caused a memory related lag problem. This has been completely addressed and is no longer the cause of lag on our servers.

As I mentioned before it is impossible to 'fix' all types of lag because the overwhelming majority of what is perceived as lag usually falls somewhere between the end points. That includes your home network, the various networks that internet traffic is routed through, and there are even cases where "lag" isn't' what you're seeing at all but simply performance issues with your PC trying to do more than it can handle and getting bogged down in the process. It can even bee a NIC driver that is having issues.

Ultimately, we can control one thing and that's our server's performance and the network stack on our systems. To the best of our knowledge, this is all working as expected.
i zamknął temat na forum. :P

I just want to clear up a couple of items and address what we're currently doing.

We did have, at the release of Update 6, a memory leak issue that lead to very serious lag spikes, rubber-banding, invisible walls and many other issues players reported. We addressed this issue and reconfirmed it, and as most players posting here have stated it did address the issue we knew about.

My earlier comments are still accurate, this issue, the memory leak found in U6 was fixed. Your comments confirm this. Other issues (and to be clear I am not saying, nor was Mithgar suggesting, that you and your PC are the only possible alternate causes) are being investigated including what seems to be very wide spread reports (outside of LOTRO itself) of performance issues outside of our control. We're investigating these, as we suspect others are, in hopes of finding some kind of clear issue.

Again, as I mentioned, there are a lot of possible causes of lag. Some within our control, some (many) not. We are going back through our systems at this time to confirm that the issue we addressed with 6.0.1 was resolved. Comments from most of you seem to confirm that it was, but we're looking again anyway.

We're also looking to see if there are any other issues that we are not aware of within our own data center and server farm.

Given that there are those in this thread who are stating they are not having issues, or issues were resolved with 6.0.1 and who have run wireshark and declared it 'clean', it's clear that while something is going on, it's not universal. As you can imagine this complicates things a bit.

When we have more information to share, we'll do so in this thread. Until then, I'll quote Mithgar's suggestion from the Tech support forum and ask those interested in helping us track down possible causes do so by submitting a tech support request.

Since Pando is only required to download the original installers you can turn it off or uninstall it once you're done. Any lag that was being generated by Pando would be local to your machine and wouldn't impact our servers at all.

Quite literally 100% of the players I have spoken to are experiencing this. People from 3 continents, people near and far, all across the US. Everyone.

It's easily most apparent in the ettenmoors, but also very observable in several other PvE locations, the end game instances etc...
Yes I have. I've logged in both from here at work (my desktop here isn't a screaming game rig, but it's decent and out connection while good is shared with several hundred people), at home on 2 different desktop PCs hardwired to my home LAN and two different notebooks on that same network connected via WiFi ( I have comcast cable). I've even player with 4 machines at home all logged in and playing together (my family plays). All machine are of varying stats from very good to "I may have spent a lot more money than I needed to". I didn't experience any lag on any of the machines either during Solo play nor while grouped.

As others posting here have also stated that they are not experiencing lag and at least one has posted a wireshark showing he isn't seeing anything it's pretty clear this is not a 100% of the player base issue.

Given that fact, and the fact other games seem to be seeing a similar spike in lag reports, it's possible that we may not be able to 'fix' this as it's not something we have control of.
