With Book 8 somewhere on the horizon there has been quite a bit of discussion regarding the next raid, which a lot of people seem to think will be Dol Guldur. I personally think that it’s very unlikely given that it would require a new region to be opened up. Since a new region was opened in Book 7, it’s doubtful that they would be doing it again in Book 8.
I personally think that based on previous dev comments, the new raid will be in the Shadowed Cave in eastern Foundations of Stone.
Anyways, I was curious on where other people think Book 8 and future books and expansions will take us.
Based on things I've read, how I've seen the game progress so far, and Turbine's plans for an annual expansion here's the direction I expect the game to take.
Book 8: Shadowed Cave is released as a new multi-boss raid. A new instance cluster around Moria (that includes the mysterious door in the Waterworks and the 3rd door by FG and the Forges) is released in Moria. The Moria storyline regarding the mysterious fungal plague is resolved.
Book 9: New Zone: South-Western Mirkwood. The region of Mirkwood across the Anduin from Lothlorien is released as a new playable area. It will focus on Lothlorien's efforts against the growing threat of Dol Guldur. The region will be similar to Evendim (without the Lake) in concept; large region with a closed-off future raid area.
Book 10: Dol Guldur raid area opened in South-West Mirkwood. The Mines of Moria storyline is resolved and brought to a close.
2009 Expansion: Rohan: The Fellowship (most of them) travels to Rohan. Rohan and Fangorn Forest are opened up. The new volume will focus on the tension between Rohan and Isengard.
2010 Expansion: Gondor: Most of the fellowship travels to Gondor. Gondor and the regions near the border of Mordor are opened. The story will focus on the growing conflict and looming war between Gondor and Mordor. The storyline of the Lord of the Rings is brought to a close.
2011 Expansion: There and Back Again. Just in time for the release of the first new Hobbit movie, an expansion is released opening the regions in the Hobbit including Northern Mirkwood and the Lonely Mountain. Storyline will most likely focus on tensions with orcs/goblins in the Grey Mountains or dragons/drakes in the Withered Heath.
2012 Expansion: Mordor. Mordor is finally opened. Now that Sauron is gone, players will now get to explore Moria and help clean up the mess and remaining baddies. One of Sauron's former underlings attempts to claim Sauron's vacant throne perhaps.

Skirmishes are the natural evolution from the focus on small party dynamic instance experiences that takes it to a whole new level... These are instances that will be dynamic in nature and repeatable. They will be dynamic in that they will be aware of the type of party in the instance and will respond accordingly so there will be a flexibility and dynamic nature to the content itself that will actually respond to how big or small your party is. In addition, you are going to have multiple objectives in these instances that are going to give you many reasons to want to do them many times with different people, different sizes, and different kinds of groups. It takes the idea of a small, sort of contained experience within an instance with a tight party group and takes it to the next level. "The last thing that's really cool about it," Steefel continued, "is that you're going to be able to train customizable soldiers that you can bring with your party into that space and actually control." With so many exciting things clearly on the horizon, it is clear that Turbine remains fully committed to Lord of the Rings Online. Year three should be an exciting for the community. http://www.mmorpg.com/gamelist.cfm/game/45/feature/2966

"The Champion’s skill Fervour will now have a -30% penalty to incoming healing. Champion skills that restore morale are not affected, nor is the Man skill Strength of Morale. This incoming healing penalty is not in effect in any PvMP area, though Champions will need to re-activate Fervour on entering or leaving such an area." heh, no nie do końca tak wszystko in plus .
